What Ian’s Friends Foundation Does

Ian’s Friends Foundation (IFF), a (501c3), nonprofit organization, was established by Cheryl and Phil Yagoda when their then two-year old son, Ian, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The foundation’s mission is to undertake and support initiatives at research institutions around the country, focusing on the development of new therapeutic methodologies and treatments for pediatric brain tumors. We seek to identify projects that are dedicated to overcoming and abating pediatric brain cancer. In the recent past, very little research had been done. IFF was created in hopes of finding promising and alternative therapies. We also seek to bring public awareness to the severity of pediatric brain tumors and raise the funds so desperately needed to sponsor research. Our goal is to ultimately find a cure.

To date, Ian’s Friends Foundation has committed over two million dollars toward pediatric brain tumor research at the institutions listed below.  All labs have been funded incurring ZERO indirect costs.
